For several years now, I've been bemoaning the commercialization of Christmas.
Not that I really care about celebrating whatever Christians cherish.
Rather, I detest the over-the-top nature of consumerism, greed and lost of any meaning whatsoever.

During a recent conversation at a bar (yes I do learn quite a bit while intoxicated), I found out about the pagan history behind Christmas and did some research.
Turns out those crafty Christians conveniently adopted Christmas as their own.
And now, every marketer and turkey farmer has the opportunity to spread the love every festive season.

But don't get me wrong.
I enjoy every single piece of turkey, ham, pudding and cranberry that I indulge in.
It's just the consumerism I can't deal with.
